User Guide

The component provides an easy voting system, requiring only a single click action for a speedy process. The component can be used to rate different images like landscapes, art, etc. which can be assigned to numerous categories. The upload is very easy, allowing also multiple upload. For each picture a sharelink, rating and the number of votes will be visible and also a comments system if admin enabled. To allow the administrator content control on the site, each picture and comment can be reported.

This is the default view of the Hot or Not Factory Menu:

Each user can upload his own media files as long as his user group allows it. My Media page is where you can check the already uploaded photos and their current rating.
Clicking on the Upload button will redirect you to the Upload media page while clicking on one of the items will redirect you to the detailed page of that photo.

On the page of the photo you will find at the top of it its title, followed by 5 or 10 stars, depending on the backend configuration. In case you haven't rated it recently you will be able to choose a rating by clicking on one of the stars, according to how much you like the photo.

By clicking on the photo it will open it in a new window at the original size.
A Delete media red button will be available next to the photo in case you are the uploader.

Below the photo, you will find various information related to it, such as the Average rating or the number of times it has been rated.
The name of the uploader is visible and can be clicked, upon clicking on it you will be redirected to that users' media item list. Next to it you will be able to see when the photo was uploaded.
Here you will also be able to see the Category and Tags assigned to that photo, clicking on them will show you a list of all the items from the respective category or tag.

In case the comment system is enabled by the administrator, you will find a text field at the bottom of the page along with a Post comment button to express your opinion regarding the photo.

The Upload Media page is where you can add new photos to the website, making them visible and ready to be voted by other users.

Multiple photos can be uploaded, for each new photo simply click on the Browse files button and choose it from your HDD. You can select the category beforehand but regardless of that, you can change it afterwards from the newly shown fields. Valid file extensions for your uploads are the following: png,jpg,jpeg and gif.
For each selected photo you will find 4 fields to set accordingly: Title, Description, Category and Tags.

When you are done selecting the photos and adding details to them you can click on the Upload all button to begin the uploading process.
